Shortcodes for Markdown, as a remark plugin
A Markdown syntax parser for remark that adds support for shortcodes. Shortcodes are hooks for macros and template partials inside a Markdown file, so content can pull in something like a sign-up form without raw HTML pasted all through it:
[[ MailchimpForm id="chfk2" ]]The start and end markers are configurable, so Hugo's {{< … >}} style works too. Each shortcode becomes a node in the syntax tree, with its name and attributes, ready for a later step to render.
It works with remark up to version 12. Remark 13 changed its parser, and the core-maintained remark-directive now covers similar ground. It's on npm.
